Betamed's social purpose is the production, import, purchase and marketing of medical and surgical devices and related products for healthcare facilities that are part of the National Health Service.

Betamed is certified for the design and manufacturing of disposable medical devices, the marketing and distribution of electromedical and medical devices, the delivery of cardiovascular perfusion services and ECMO transport.
Betamed has been certified ISO 14001 since 2019.
As a manufacturer, Betamed complies with directive 93/42/EEC and subsequent modifications for the following product categories:
- Sterile clothing, drapes and accessories
- Procedure packs
- Cervical dilators
- Delivery of vascular perfusion and extracorporeal circulation services in organ transplants and ECMO transport
